Does anyone owe a neighbor, a law, or a town — or is every person out for themselves?

Dark Matter is a multiverse thriller about a Chicago physicist and professor yanked off his ordinary night walk home into lives he might have chosen. What holds up is the real labor of science and teaching he leaves, and the wife and child who stay the point of return. Wonder turns to dread once every other self becomes the rival, and the only way out is back to the life already given.

The picture raises a plain question for a house: do you keep the table you already sit at, or trade it for status and novelty dressed as destiny. The series stays with fidelity over fantasy and leaves posterity as the family that was waiting, not the web of might-have-beens.

VisionQuest

63Or leave it.Not an average of critics. Eight questions, one house.

The question is whether a made man can have a soul. The boy is the test.

This phone

Set for a grown person, just me. Change the ages.

After the credits

Does anyone owe a neighbor, a law, or a town — or is every person out for themselves?

Vision has the memories and not the feeling of them. He pours drinks in Edinburgh and argues with the voices in his head, including the one that made a weapon of him and would like to do it again. A hunter takes a teenage boy who may be his son. The season is not finished. This measure can move when the last hour airs.

What is already on the table is enough to start. A made man is being asked if he will belong to a child or to the voice that says he is above belonging. Watch for that choice. The fights are the toll.

  5. Republic

    5/10

  6. Temperance

    6/10

Ultron offers superiority. The series, so far, does not agree with him.

  7. Truth

    6/10

He does not know if the memories are his. He does not pretend that he does.

  8. Stewardship

    6/10

What he owes the boy is the question the unfinished season is actually asking.
