Over the Moon is a girl who will not let her father marry because the marriage means her mother is finally gone. The rocket is the spectacle and the kitchen is the story. Families who have lost someone can watch it together, and should. The goddess is not the consolation. The person still alive in the house is.

Ego offers Peter a birthright and means to consume worlds with it. Yondu is a thief and a bad man who came back. The film is loud, crude in the jokes, and clear about the only question that matters: a father is the one who does not spend you. 'He may have been your father, but he wasn't your daddy' is a sentence this desk will not improve.

Adults and older kids who can take the noise. Mute the gag reel in your own mind and keep the funeral. A crew that chooses a disappointing, loyal man over a shining predator has understood a family.
