A voice assistant is a machine that answers when a person asks. In a house, the question is not whether it can talk. The question is whether it hands the next sentence back.

A person

The voice a child will remember is a person in the room. A grandparent who reads the next page. A parent who says why. That voice is the chain. A machine cannot hand a life on.

Read one page aloud. Then stop. Let the child ask you, not the box.

Annie can say these. Hear one. Then let a person take the next line.

Should we watch It's a Wonderful Life? The desk can say the number. A person still says yes or no.
