The Bad Guys

A heist that accidentally considers becoming decent. It enjoys the heist more than the decency.

The Bad Guys is stylish about crime and a little embarrassed about goodness, which is the modern order. Children will remember the wolf's charm. The charm is the problem. If you watch it, do not let the last-minute turn stand in for the hour of theft that paid for it. There is a sequel and a haunted special. You do not need them. The question was already asked in this one, and only partly answered.

The eight

  1. Industry

    4/10

The robbery is a skill. Going straight would be a different skill, and they are worse at it.

  2. Household

    3/10

    A crew, not a house.

  3. Piety

    2/10

Reputation is the only judgment they fear.

  4. Courage

    5/10

One of them risks the crew for a person who is not in on the joke.

  5. Republic

    3/10

The city is a mark. Reform is a performance for the city.

  6. Temperance

    4/10

Cool is the tone. Cool is an appetite.

  7. Truth

    5/10

It admits they are bad. It asks you to like them as bad.

  8. Stewardship

    4/10

The turn, if they make it, is the part worth keeping. The film is not sure it wants the turn.

Live historicallyAsk whether they stopped because it was wrong or because they got caught.

Descendants

A song about being good, aimed at the children of brands. Light, and shallower than the lesson it announces.

Ben, the son of Belle and the Beast, thinks mercy is letting the villain kids into Auradon. Mal and her friends think a heist is the point, and then think friendship might be. The island is a collective punishment, which is the interesting idea, and the film drops it for a coronation number. Parents are cameos. Goodness is a style that wins the dance.

A child who wants it can watch one. Say that a person's parent is not their sentence, and that a song is not a character. If they want the sequel immediately, you have learned that the product works. Stop after one anyway.

The eight

  1. Industry

    3/10

A school of privilege. Little work.

  2. Household

    4/10

Parents as famous silhouettes. The teenagers are the whole company.

  3. Piety

    2/10

    Goodness as school spirit.

  4. Courage

    4/10

They risk the plan for each other, late.

  5. Republic

    4/10

    A kingdom as a campus.

  6. Temperance

    4/10

Mischief is the texture, redeemed on schedule.

  7. Truth

    5/10

The better line is that a child is not the parent. The film does say it.

  8. Stewardship

    4/10

What is handed on is a franchise of famous names.

Live historicallyJudge a child by what they do this week, not by their parent's reputation. And do not accept a dance as the reform.
