Beautiful and grave. The grave is dug toward spectacle.

Unlike American Horror Story, this one thinks damnation is about something. That earns it a measure instead of a dismissal. It still wants the doom to be gorgeous, and gorgeous doom is a poor teacher. Adults who already have a theology can see the argument. It should not be the place anyone acquires one.

A romance that is also a joke about how crude they can be. The dog is the decent idea.

The premise is sound: you hurt something small and now it is yours. The show knows that and then writes the rest in the key of an adult comedy that wants you to know it will say anything. The dog is the part to believe. The banter is optional and often not worth it.
