Tonight
Ten for the evening
One to ten. Newest, most watched, highest on the Living Meter. Prime, Disney+, Hulu, Hallmark, Acorn, and Netflix.
Strength is worth seeing. An endless feud is how a week disappears.
Raw landed on the chart because a great many people wanted a loud room and a strong body doing a hard thing. Do not sneer at that. Strength is good. Practice is good. A man who has never been in a gym is not morally above a man who has.
Then tell the truth about the rest. The feud does not end, because the ending would be a bad business. Honor is choreography. Your evening is the product. Enjoy a match the way you enjoy a circus, with your eyes open and a clock in the room. If it is eating the hours you owed to your people, it is not entertainment anymore. It is a leak.
Industry
6/10
The bodies are trained. That part is not a special effect.
Household
2/10
No house. The crowd is a substitute congregation.
Piety
2/10
Ritual without reverence. The lights are the altar.
Courage
5/10
Physical nerve is real. The stakes are a storyline.
Republic
3/10
A crowd trained to boo and buy is not a republic.
Temperance
2/10
The product is appetite that resets every Monday.
Truth
3/10
The feuds are openly theater. Fine, until they are mistaken for honor.
Stewardship
2/10
Nothing is handed down but a next episode.
Live historicallyTrain once this week for its own sake. Leave the show off the night you do it.
A man who loves his own holiday enough to stop counterfeiting someone else's.
Jack is a real craftsman of fright, and he is bored, and boredom makes him a thief of Christmas. The film loves his competence and refuses his theft. Sally sees the harm coming and is right. The children of the town are frightened by gifts that were built by a man who does not know the feast.
It is dark in the way a good October story is dark, not in the way a taunt is dark. Oogie Boogie is a villain of appetite. Jack goes home to the work he can actually do. That return is the moral. A house can watch it. Say that admiration is not permission to take over someone else's holy day.
Industry
8/10
He is a master of his craft, and a bungler of the one he steals.
Household
5/10
Sally's loyalty is a kind of household. The town is the other.
Piety
6/10
Two feasts, both treated as real. Mixing them is the error.
Courage
7/10
He admits the failure in public and goes to set it right.
Republic
6/10
A town with a job. Christmas is someone else's town.
Temperance
7/10
Boredom and vanity push him. He does not get to keep the result.
Truth
8/10
He was wrong. The film says so with the children's faces.
Stewardship
8/10
Give the feast back to the people it belongs to.
Live historicallyDo your own work. Do not steal a feast you do not know how to keep.
Keep it. Repetition is a mercy when it is used to grow a character.
Phil uses the loop first for appetite, then for despair, then for craft: piano, ice sculpture, the old man, the boy falling from the tree. The film is a moral education disguised as a joke, and the joke stays funny because he is actually insufferable at the start. Rita is not a prize for self-improvement. She is the witness he cannot fool, which is why the last morning matters.
Watch it on a day when the house feels stuck. The theology is light and the practice is serious. You become good by doing the same right things when nobody is keeping score.
Industry
8/10
He learns actual skills.
Household
5/10
He learns to care for a town full of particular people.
Piety
5/10
A purgatory without the word. It behaves like one.
Courage
6/10
The courage is the long middle, not a speech.
Republic
7/10
A whole town is his responsibility by the end.
Temperance
8/10
Appetite is burned out of him.
Truth
7/10
He cannot lie to the day anymore.
Stewardship
9/10
It hands you the same Tuesday as a place to practice.
Live historicallyDo today's small kindness as if you might be asked to repeat it forever.
Keep it. The one play is enough. Do not despise a modest ambition that took everything.
Rudy is not secretly a star. That is the film's integrity. He is undersized, academically behind, and carried by people who are not impressed so much as unwilling to watch him quit. Fortune is a friend with a standard. The final sack is a true thrill because it is small. A culture that only films the prodigy will not understand this picture, and that is why a house should keep it.
Watch it when someone is ordinary and working. Applaud the ordinary. The tunnel walk is not the point. The library is.
Industry
9/10
Practice, grades, the unspectacular grind.
Household
6/10
A father, friends, a girl, a campus that becomes a home.
Piety
5/10

Truth
7/10
He is not lied into being tall.
Stewardship
8/10
It hands on persistence without the promise of glory.
Live historicallyHelp someone unqualified keep going for one more honest season.
Keep it. The gun is put down and then, sadly, picked up for a weaker neighbor. Older children.
Shane wants a farm life he is not clean enough to keep. The homesteaders want to stay, which is the right want: a valley with cabins is better than a valley with one man's cattle. Ryker is not a misunderstood entrepreneur. He is a man who thinks prior force is a deed. The boy worships the gunfighter, and the film is uneasy about that worship, which is why the farewell hurts. Do not ride after him in your mind. Stay with the people who will plant.
Industry
8/10
Stump-pulling is the honorable work.

One of the few children's shows here that likes the truth more than the joke. Put this on.
Ezra, Maudie, Ava, and Kyle take small cases: a missing hat, a broken project, a lie about a party. The show's unusual virtue is that it cares who did it and what they owe. Children are funny without being the product, and a wrong accusation has a cost. This is the one on the children's row to choose on purpose.
Watch it with them once, then let them watch the next one. Ask who had to give the thing back. If they can answer, the show has done its job.
Industry
7/10
They take notes, they ask, they are sometimes wrong. The work of finding out is the show.
Household
5/10
Parents and a school exist. The children are not raising themselves.
Piety
4/10
Fairness is as close as it comes to reverence, and it comes close.
Courage
6/10
They accuse carefully, and they apologize when they are wrong.
Republic
7/10
A school is a small republic: rules, property, and the kid who was left out.
Temperance
7/10
Greed and lying are the crimes, and they are not admired.
Truth
8/10
The answer matters more than being clever. Someone has to make it right.
Stewardship
6/10
A standard is being practiced, not just announced.
Live historicallyLet a child solve a small real dispute in the house by asking what happened, not who they like.
A brave girl with a mother who stays. The magic is wonder, not a brand, and the city is a real place.
Hilda is the best of the modern adventures on this row because the mother is still the mother, the city has a right to its rules, and the magical creatures are not pets. Hilda is brave to a fault, and the show knows it is a fault. A child can watch it and come away liking the world. Watch with them once so the fault is named, not only the adventure.
Industry
5/10
Her mother has work. Hilda's courage sometimes makes that work harder.

Magic with a cost. A grandmother, a café, and the rule that you clean up what you cooked.
The cookbook is a wish machine, which is a dangerous toy, and the series is reasonably strict about the bill. A girl who spices a recipe to fix her social life will have to uncook it. A grandmother's past is involved, so the magic is not a toy from nowhere. It is an inheritance with instructions.
Good for the middle years, Louise's age and up. Watch the first wish with them and do not let the wish be the part they remember. The cleaning-up is the part.
Industry
6/10
Cooking is the craft. The spell does not work if the work is sloppy.
Household
7/10
Families, a grandmother who was part of it before them, a café that feeds a street.
Piety

Work, an apprenticeship, a place. Better than most of the reality row. Not everything needs to be a crisis edit.
Pol is old, blunt, and still on call for cattle, horses, and the family dog. The clinic is a small business with a younger vet being brought up in it. Reality editing loves the emergency and the odd client. Under the edit is a practice: diagnosis, treatment, a farm that depends on the animal living. That is industry in the old sense.
Fine for a family that can handle medical scenes. Prefer the hours that show the procedure over the hours that show the argument. A craft you can visit is worth more than a personality you can follow.

Rescue plus a fact. A crew with jobs. One of the useful shows for a small child.
The Octonauts go out, do a job, and come back. Someone is the captain, the facts are the facts, and the creature is not a plush with a lesson attached. It is among the few series here a parent can put on for a young child without translating it afterward. Still turn it off. A good crew is not a substitute for the bath.
Industry
