For a five-year-old, this is closer to a dollhouse than to the rest of the phone. There is no winner. There is a room to arrange. That is a mercy.
Sit with them for a while and then move the same game into the actual kitchen: they stir, they set a cup, they are done. If the only house they play is the one on the screen, the app has replaced the dollhouse instead of pointing at it.
