Pass it on
Sweet Land
76Worth an evening.
A small, exact film about a community's boundary and the work that makes them let her in.
The review
This is the German and Scandinavian shelf in one picture, and it is better than most films ten times its size. The town is wrong to shut her out and understandable in its fear. She is not a speech about tolerance. She is a woman who can work. The film knows that a people changes by harvest and marriage, not by a lecture.
Watch it as a household. It is quiet enough for a tired evening and serious enough to talk about afterward.

Live Historic number 76. Yours can differ.
The glance
Piety is the thin one.
Can conscience actually stop someone, or is reverence only in the shot so it can be mocked?
This phone is set for a grown person, just me. Change the ages.
Consider this
A Man for All Seasons
89 instead of 76
A Man for All Seasons is still a drama film, and it scores 89 instead of 76. What you gain is piety: Faith is the center, and it is not a mood.
The eight
- 9Industry
Harvest is the crisis. The town's opinion does not get the crop in.
- 8Household
A marriage has to be made in front of people who can refuse it.
- 6Piety
The minister and the suspicion of a German after the war are the piety and the fear.
- 7Courage
She stays and works when leaving would be simpler.
- 7Republic
A township small enough that a marriage is everybody's business.
- 8Temperance
No spectacle. The tension is social and agricultural.
- 8Truth
The prejudice is not cleaned up to make the town likable.
- 8Stewardship
The land they finally share is the inheritance.
