The review

Four suburban men wanted a last wild weekend on a river a dam is about to bury. They got a trip they were not built for. The river was the point, and then it was not. One of them is changed in a way the film does not heal. That refusal to tidy the ending is the honest part.

Adult. Do not describe the assault, and do not make a contest out of who can sit through it. The dam was already going to spend the river for people who do not live on it. One of them carries that change home. If someone in the room goes quiet, stay with that, not the canoe.

The phrase is a plea. Films that use it are often about a mind that is losing its names, which is a grave and common sorrow, or about a romance that thinks being remembered is the same as being faithful. The tile does not say which, and this house will not supply a diagnosis for atmosphere.

If it is the sorrow, bring patience and do not treat the sick as a lesson in your own feelings. If it is the romance, the plea is cheaper. Either way the true act is older than the movie: you keep a person by showing up while they can still see you.
