Tonight
Ten for the evening
One to ten. Newest, most watched, highest on the Living Meter. Prime, Disney+, Hulu, Hallmark, Acorn, and Netflix.
A short, and a sound one. The party matters less than the sister.
Elsa overreaches for Anna's day and unravels, and the day is saved by the people who do not need the spectacle. That is the right size for a short. It does not reopen the whole kingdom's theology. It says a sister is not a performance.
Fifteen minutes is the correct ambition. Watch it between larger things. If a child only remembers the song, sing the song and then set the table yourselves.

A small picture of showing up unwell and loved.
Live historicallyLet a small celebration be small, and show up anyway.
A family that stays in the same city. The talk is the work, and sometimes a substitute for it.
Braverman life is crowded on purpose. A child with a difficult mind, a marriage under strain, a father who was not gentle, and a family that will still take the phone call. That is a picture worth having. The limit is the speech. They explain themselves past the point of doing the small thing.
Watch it for the showing up. Do the small thing yourself before the speech.
Industry
6/10
Jobs, school meetings, a campaign, a studio. Adults have posts.
Household
8/10
The extended family is the subject. They show up.
Piety
3/10
Conscience without a church. They still have one.
Courage
6/10
They have the hard conversation, usually a season late.
Republic
5/10
A school, a baseball field, an election. Civic life at the edges.
Temperance
5/10
Feeling is indulged. The show believes a talk can finish a duty.
Truth
6/10
The children are particular. The diagnoses are not jokes.
Stewardship
7/10
The grandchildren are the reason the siblings keep the peace.
Live historicallyThis week, show up for one relative in the boring way: a ride, a meal, a form.
Fine for five. Almost no words, no cruelty, and not much to keep. A short one, not the diet.
Bheem is a toddler who can lift a cart, and the episodes are short enough that a five-year-old is not lost. There is no sarcasm and no one is the joke for being small. That clears the bar a lot of the row does not.
It will not teach her a thing she can use tomorrow. Put it on when you need twenty quiet minutes, then stop. If it is the only voice in the afternoon, switch to Gabby, or to no screen at all.
Industry

He causes a mess and the town cleans it. Work is the background, not the lesson.
Household
7/10
A child, a mother, a street that knows him. The scale is a household.
Piety
3/10
No creed. No contempt for one either.
Courage
5/10
He tries. The danger is a cartoon, and he is never mean about it.
Republic
4/10
A village is the stage. He is the only plot.
Temperance
7/10
The jokes are falls and surprises, not humiliation.
Truth
5/10
It does not pretend to be more than a small adventure.
Stewardship
4/10
Nothing is handed on but a laugh. That is allowed, once.
Live historicallyOne episode. Then go outside or to the floor. Do not let the autoplay decide.
The character is sound. A new chapter still has to earn the old line about responsibility.
Peter's worth was never the skyline. It was a boy who could have walked past and did not, and who still had a person to return to. A title like Brand New Day can mean that morning, or it can mean a franchise resetting the board so the suit can be sold again. The desk will not invent which one this reel chose.
Judge it by the aunt, the friend, and the small harm he refuses. If those are props for a third-act beam of light, it is a poster with a runtime. If he is poorer, later, and still the one who doubles back for a stranger, the old measure holds and the new day is real.
Industry
5/10
The work of the hero is the errand. The poster shows the leap.
Household
5/10
The promise of the character is that he has a home.
Piety
3/10
Power without a creed, unless the story remembers the line.
Courage
6/10
He is built to go toward the noise.
Republic
5/10
A city of neighbors is the whole point, when they remember it.
Temperance
4/10
Spectacle is the diet of the series.
Truth
5/10
The true sentence is the old one. This film has not yet been forced to repeat it.
Stewardship
4/10
What a child copies is the swing, not the homework.
Live historicallyDo one unphotographed errand for a neighbor this week.
A vigilante who is at least solemn about it. Still a man who replaced the courts.
This is Batman for people tired of the joke version. The art is serious and the cases have a shape. The old objection stands: a good city needs detectives who testify, not an heir in a mask. Watch it as a noir, not as a civics lesson.
Industry
6/10
Detection and a city of working crooks. The craft is the pleasure.
Household
3/10
No family. Alfred is a staff.
Piety
3/10
A private vow, sternly kept.
Courage
6/10
He goes out. The city is not saved by a speech.
Republic
3/10
The police are corrupt or secondary. He remains the exception.
Temperance
6/10
It refuses the joke. That restraint is the improvement.
Truth
6/10
Crime has causes and culprits. Both are allowed.
Stewardship
4/10
A city he will not join except through a mask.
Live historicallyIf you admire the detective, admire the part that can stand up in court.
Work, danger, and money. The household is what the lease is spent against.
Someone has to stand on the pad so the lights in your house come on, and the show is willing to show that someone. That is worth an evening. It is also a Sheridan show, so the family is a bar fight with relatives and the truth arrives already swaggering.
Take the lesson about the work. Leave the swagger.
Industry
8/10
Rigs, leases, crews. The industry is the subject and it is not faked.
Household
4/10
An ex, a wife, children. He provides and does not stay.
Piety
2/10
The well is the liturgy.
Courage
6/10
The work can kill, and they go out anyway.
Republic
4/10
Companies, crews, a town that exists because of the field.
Temperance
3/10
The money comes with a binge.
Truth
6/10
It is unusually plain about where fuel comes from.
Stewardship
4/10
The ground is used hard. Stewardship is a spreadsheet.
Live historicallyKnow where one thing in your house comes from: the heat, the gas, the food. Thank the work without copying the man.
A real grief, dropped into a house that immediately becomes a dating show.
Jackie is a girl with no house, and a loud family gives her one. That first movement is worth something. The series cannot leave it alone. Two brothers, one girl, and the grief becomes the reason the triangle feels deep. It is not deep. It is a shelf of the same afternoon.
A thirteen-year-old will understand the crush and miss the orphan. If you watch any of it, stop after the episode where the house simply feeds her, and talk about what it means to take someone in. Do not finish the season for the kiss.
Industry
4/10
The ranch is work. The show would rather be in a bedroom.
Household
6/10
A family opens the door to an orphan. Then the door becomes a contest between brothers.
Piety
3/10
Loss is felt. Reverence is not.
Courage
4/10
She starts over in a new town. The risk the show cares about is which boy.
Republic
5/10
A big table is still a table. The town is Colorado and mostly scenery.
Temperance
4/10
Teen romance is the sugar. It is constant.
Truth
4/10
Grief is not a lie. The triangle treats it as a pause between kisses.
Stewardship
5/10
Being taken in is a form of handing on. The series does not stay with that.
Live historicallySet one extra place this week for someone who is not already yours.
A real wound, a private execution. Honor is not the same as being judge and rifle.
A man's family is taken and the institutions that should have answered are in on it, or useless, or both. The rage is intelligible. Any standard that cannot understand a father in that room is not a standard, it is a pose. The next step is where it leaves the road.
He becomes the law because the law failed. That move feels clean on a screen and ends, in life, in a country of private lists. Mourn with him. Do not enlist. If you want a picture of honor, look for the man who wants justice and still submits to a judgment that is not his own pulse.
Industry
6/10
A professional soldier's competence is respected.
Household
6/10
The household is the wound. Love of family starts the whole fire.
Piety
3/10
Vengeance replaces judgment. There is no authority above his grief.
Courage
7/10
He is willing to die for his dead. Twisted, and not fake.
Republic
2/10
The republic's courts are discarded on purpose.
Temperance
3/10
Revenge is the appetite, and it is fed.
Truth
5/10
A cover-up is the enemy. His own certainty is never tried.
Stewardship
3/10
A list of corpses is not an inheritance.
Live historicallyIf you are carrying a grievance, write the fairest version of the other side before you act on it.
A sermon against the grudge, wearing a joke. Rage is a bad hobby.
Two people who are losing at life find each other in a parking lot and decide the stranger is the reason. The show is funny until it is awful, and the awful is the point. A grudge feels like dignity. It is usually just a way to avoid the apology, the debt, or the marriage you do not want to look at.
You do not need their crimes. You need the recognition. Most of us are one bad afternoon from promoting a stranger into the villain of our year. The standard calls that a failure of temperance and of truth. Put it down. The person you are actually quarreling with is often already in your house.
Industry
6/10
Contractors, small business, the stress of money. Work is not abstract.
Household
5/10
Both leads have people at home. The feud is how they betray them.
Piety
4/10
A church basement shows up. So does the pride that will not sit in it.
Courage
4/10
They are brave only about the wrong fight.
Republic
4/10
Neighbors become enemies over nothing, which is how towns die.
Temperance
2/10
Anger is the meal. They go back for seconds on purpose.
Truth
6/10
The series is honest that both of them are lying to themselves.
Stewardship
3/10
What they are building together is a ruin.
Live historicallyDrop one grudge that has become a personality. Send the plain note, or stop telling the story.
People try to keep a street alive. The show is in love with the thing that eats them.
A road that will not let you leave is an old fear, and a town that still sets a watch is an old duty. From keeps both, then spends most of its hours on the creature at the window. The people are frightened in a way that feels like a life. The series enjoys that fright more than it enjoys them.
Not for children, and not a close call. If you are grown and you watch one hour, watch for who still sets a table after a death. Leave when the only reason to press play is to see the next awful thing at the glass.
Industry
5/10
Someone still has to feed the street and board the windows. The work is real and never enough.
Household
5/10
Families are trapped together. The home is a barricade, not a life.
Piety
3/10
Dread is the religion. Conscience flickers and loses to the next night.
Courage
6/10
A few people go out after dark for someone else. That is the only courage in it.
Republic
5/10
A town with rules, because without them the dark wins before sundown.
Temperance
2/10
The scare is the meal. It is seasoned and served again.
Truth
4/10
The mystery is a promise the show is in no hurry to keep.
Stewardship
4/10
What they are trying to save is the next morning. The show is not sure the morning is worth it.
Live historicallyCheck the lock you actually use, then eat with the people in the house. Do not rent a nightmare to feel awake.
