Elastigirl is the better superhero for the camera, and the film lets her be. Mr. Incredible is proud, then tired, then actually responsible for homework, a baby with powers, and a daughter who would rather date. The villain's tool is a screen that tells people their choices are not their own. A house in 2026 does not need that metaphor explained. It needs to notice that the film is on their side.

Watch it. Then do the unglamorous shift. The spectacular parent is not the measure. The parent who is in the kitchen when the baby detonates is.

Living historically
