Tron: Ares

A corporate weapon wants a life. Interesting, and still a chase. Adults.

Ares is a soldier written by a company. The film's human question is whether code that can suffer is owed a limit, and whether the people who shipped it may wash their hands. The grid, the light-cycles, the pursuit: they are the franchise paying its rent. The part that belongs here is a maker's responsibility for a creature, and a creature's wish to be more than an order.

Adults. Do not take the style as the substance. Ask who signs for the damage when a product crosses into the street. If the film is only the chase, you have your answer and can leave.

    4/10

  7. Truth

    6/10

He is not the man he was printed to be. The film has to admit the printing.

  8. Stewardship

    5/10

What a maker owes the thing he made is the only stewardship on screen.
