Freaky Friday

The body swap that earns itself. They learn the job. Keep it.

Anna thinks her mother has an easy authority. Tess thinks her daughter has an easy youth. The curse makes each of them carry the day: the band, the patient, the little brother, the rehearsal dinner. The comedy is the incompetence. The moral is the competence they did not believe in. A forthcoming marriage and a dead father are in the house, so the stakes are not only a concert.

The whole family can watch it. After, trade a job for an evening. Understanding is not a feeling you announce. It is a day you managed not to drop.
