Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch
Stitch begins to shut down, and a sister who has a hula competition still will not let him go through it alone.

A sister stays. Smaller than the first film, and aimed at the right fear.
Lilo wants the hula to be perfect because her mother is dead and the dance is a way of standing next to that fact. Stitch is dying of the way he was built. The film is short and earnest. The contest matters less than a girl climbing into the ship of a creature who is afraid. Nani is still raising her. The house is intact.
Good for children who know the first one. It is sad in a way that is fair, not cruel. Say that a trophy is not the measure of a week in which someone you love is failing.

Put the performance second to the person who is not well. Once, on purpose.

The eight
Industry
5/10
Hula as practice. Nani's work is off to the side and real.
Household
9/10
Sisters, and a creature who has become a brother. Ohana is tested by a breakdown.
Piety
4/10
A dance for a dead mother. That is reverence at child size.
Courage
7/10
She goes to him instead of to the stage.
Republic
4/10
A contest, a town. Small.
Temperance
6/10
The wish to be perfect is the excess.
Truth
7/10
His glitch is not a moral failure. The film says so.
Stewardship
8/10
She keeps him. That is the inheritance of the first film, spent.
