Cars 2
A famous racer and a tow truck go overseas, and a spy plot mistakes the fool for the agent.

A friendship, buried under a cartoon spy movie. The first film was the one with a town.
Lightning McQueen brings Mater to a world tour and is ashamed of him, then has to repent of the shame. That repentance is the only scene the desk needs. Around it is a weapons conspiracy and a spy farce that does not care about Radiator Springs at all. The first film asked a celebrity to stay. This one asks him to be loyal on vacation, and then spends the runtime on gadgets.
A child can watch it and will mostly get noise. If you put it on, pause at the apology and say that being embarrassed by your own people is the vice. Then you can let the rest be silly.
