Ingredients

4
  • 4 apples, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • a squeeze of lemon

Steps

  1. 1

Melt the butter in a skillet.

  2. 2

Add the apples in one layer as well as you can.

  3. 3

Sprinkle on the sugar and cinnamon.

  4. 4

Cook, turning now and then, until the apples are tender and the edges brown, about 12 minutes.

  5. 5

    Finish with lemon. Serve warm.

A firm apple keeps its shape. A soft one becomes sauce, which is also worth eating.
