War
A broken vow is the case. The lawyers are billing it.
Cathcarts and Taylor & Byrne take opposite sides of a divorce between a tech billionaire and a film star. There is a prenup. Infidelity is the alleged cause. The season is not finished. What has aired, in the public account, is a fight over money, a firm that needs the client to survive, and a kiss between a lawyer and someone on the matter.
This is a first measure, and it can move. A house does not need the last episode to see the order of goods. A marriage is not a case to be won. The skill of the people billing it does not change that.
The eight
Industry
5/10
The work is real and it is aimed at the wrong good. They are skilled at taking a marriage apart.
Household
3/10
A ten-year marriage is the prize, not the thing anyone in the early hours is trying to keep.
Piety
2/10
A vow is paper. The series, so far, has not let it be more.
Courage
4/10
Pushing a case is not courage when the cause is a fee.
Republic
4/10
Two firms and a fortune are not a people. A city is only the backdrop of the bill.
Temperance
3/10
Scandal is the meal. A lawyer is already kissing a client.
Truth
4/10
The show says winning is everything. That sentence is the tell, and it is not a virtue.
Stewardship
3/10
Nothing is being kept for anyone after the settlement. The marriage is inventory.
Live historicallyDo not let a fight in this house become a contest to see who can take more.
