Top Gun: Maverick
Craft, a chain of command, and a man who finally puts the student ahead of the stunt.
Maverick has spent a career being the exception. The film is good because the exception is put in a classroom and told to send other people into the canyon. He hates the order, and then he obeys the part of it that matters: the young ones come home.
The romance is slight. The jets are the pleasure. Take the classroom, not the buzz.
