The Social Reckoning
The work was looking. The courage was carrying the papers out.
Frances Haugen works inside Facebook and comes to see that the machine is tuned for attention, not for the safety of the people on it. She goes to a Wall Street Journal reporter. The public story, which is also the reported one, is that the papers got out and the company had to answer. This measure is of that act, not of every speech in a Sorkin room.
A house already knows the scroll. The film is worth the sitting if it sends someone back to ask what the machine is being paid to do to the child with the phone. The whistle is not the repair. It is the refusal to keep the finding in the building.
The eight
Industry
7/10
She is paid to study the machine. She does the study, including the part the company does not want.
Household
5/10
This is not a family picture. The children on the platform are the household the company will not count.
Piety
4/10
No creed. A conscience about other people's children does the work of one.
Courage
8/10
She takes the files out after the building has told her to stop.
Republic
8/10
A company that sorts a people for profit is a public fact, and she makes it one.
Temperance
6/10
The film is an argument, not a thrill. It does not teach the scroll.
Truth
8/10
The point of the picture is that a guarded secret belonged in the paper.
Stewardship
7/10
She is trying to leave the next user less used than she found them.
Live historicallyLook at one thing this house hands a child through a screen, and take that thing back for a week.
