Star Wars: The Force Awakens
A soldier refuses an order. A father crosses a bridge he will not walk back. The rest is a story this house has already been told.
The part worth keeping is Finn, who was trained to kill and does not, and Han, who dies trying to bring a boy home. Those are old duties. The picture around them is a copy of a copy, and the First Order is an empire with a new coat of paint.
A child can watch the refusal and the bridge. An adult should not pretend the third Death Star is a new idea about a republic.
