Teen Wolf
A light parable about not cashing in on a trick. Dated, and the point survives.
Scott's wolf makes him the star of the team and a worse friend. The film is a comedy and it still notices the swap: applause arrives, character leaves. Boof, the friend, is worth more than the howl. The sports scenes are of their era. The shape is a boy putting the trick away when it starts to own the room.
Harmless enough for a teenager. Say the quiet line: a gift that makes you despise your own team is not a gift you keep using.
