Team Moms: Baseball

The boys are doing the work. The show is about the adults using them. Do not put it on.

The boys at the academy are practicing a hard skill. That could have been a story about work, a coach, and a limit. Team Moms points the camera at the stands and pays the parents to make the children into episodes: rivalries, insults, a private life dragged into a Pilates class. A child is not content. A parent who will say anything because a producer is in the room has already failed the only test that mattered.

Do not watch this with the boys, and do not watch it to feel superior to it. If a child in the house plays a sport, your job is the ride home, not the audience.

The eight

  1. Industry

    5/10

The training is real work, and it belongs to the boys. The camera belongs to the parents.

  2. Household

    2/10

Children are a career plan and a grievance. The house is a brand.

  3. Piety

    1/10

Nothing is revered except winning and being seen.

  4. Courage

    3/10

Ambition is mistaken for courage. A mother calling a child a name is not nerve.

  5. Republic

    2/10

A team could be a commons. This is a court of status.

  6. Temperance

    2/10

Other people's children are fair game. The appetite to be filmed is the plot.

  7. Truth

    2/10

Produced conflict. People perform the worst version of themselves because the format pays for it.

  8. Stewardship

    2/10

What is being handed to a boy is his parents' hunger.

Live historicallyAt the next game, watch the child. Leave the other parents' conversation.

Hot Wheels Let's Race

A commercial that moves. Speed is the only virtue it knows.

Hot Wheels Let's Race is a toy line that learned to talk. The racing is bright and empty, and a child who loves cars will love it for the reason the company hopes. You can allow a short one if cars are already the interest. You should not pretend it is a story. There is nothing to discuss except which car was faster, and that is the design.

The eight

  1. Industry

    3/10

Mechanics appear as a way to win, not as a craft you could live by.

  2. Household

    2/10

No house. A garage of racers.

  3. Piety

    1/10

The car is the idol, and it is also for sale.

  4. Courage

    4/10

They take the dangerous line. The danger is a track.

  5. Republic

    2/10

    Competitors, not neighbors.

  6. Temperance

    2/10

Wanting the faster car is the lesson.

  7. Truth

    3/10

It does not pretend to be about anything but the race and the toy.

  8. Stewardship

    1/10

What it hands on is a catalog.

Live historicallyIf cars are the interest, open the hood of a real one with an adult instead of starting the next race.
