Scream
It tells on its own genre, and then it feeds you the genre anyway. Adults. Leave it.
Sidney has lost her mother and is being hunted by people who think murder is a movie. The film is clever about the rules and unwilling to give them up. Cleverness is not a moral. The killer's motive is a wound turned into a performance, and the camera loves the performance. A generation learned to talk about slaughter as literacy.
If you already know it, you know it. Do not pass the literacy on. A girl fighting for her life is not a text. The standard is not against fear. It is against fear as a hobby.
