The demon needs her yes. The mother's distance is the open door.

Bela's parents are far from each other, and something that looks like her mother asks to be let in. It cannot take her without a yes. The horror is not only the face. It is a house where a child is lonely enough to consider the offer. The mother eventually says she did not want to become a mother. The child remembers that pain is part of living, and does not hand herself over.

Watch it, if you watch it, for the no. Do not hand it to the seven-year-old in your own house. The charge is for the adults: a child should not have to be the one who closes the door.

The land is not a warehouse. The sermon is right. The body he borrows, and the war that follows, are the part to hold lightly.

A corporation will burn a place for a rock, and the film is not shy about naming that. That is the line to keep. Jake Sully's answer is to become the people he was sent to betray, and then to lead their war, which is a thinner answer than the warning.

Watch it for the warning. Do not take the blue body as a permission to throw your own life away for a feeling of belonging.
