Butthole Surfers: The Hole Truth and Nothing Butt

Shock as a career is a thin life. Adults. Not near children. The desk will not linger on the gag.

The tile is a band that built a name on offense and now offers the documentary version of itself. A document can be honest about a scene, the drugs, the jokes, the people who paid. It becomes an ad when the offense is treated as proof of courage. Courage has an object. Being willing to disgust a room is not yet an object.

Skip it if you do not already care about the music. If you do, watch for whether anyone is allowed to have been harmed by the bit. A band is not a moral alibi.

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut

The satire sometimes hits. The sewage is the method. Not in a house with children. Adults who do not need it can skip it too.

The film knows a true thing: parents who outsource a child's imagination and then panic are ridiculous, and a war over a movie is a stupid war. It says so in a voice that wants the same license it mocks. Satire that needs the obscenity to function has not found a cleaner instrument. The cleaner instrument existed. They did not want it.

If you already laughed at it at sixteen, you do not need to introduce it at forty-six. The point about hypocrisy can be made at dinner in one sentence. The rest is a dare.

No work. A tantrum with songs.

  2. Household

    3/10

Parents are the target and the absence.

  3. Piety

Nothing sacred survives the joke, including the joke.

    Shock is not courage.

A town that goes to war for a scandal.
