My Way

Reprise, under Warner. Regret is refused. So, sometimes, is correction.

Reprise, his own label, inside what is now Warner. The song is an old man saying the bites were his and he would not rewrite them. There is dignity in not whimpering. There is also a door closed on anyone he ran over to keep the plot his.

Play it for someone who has actually finished a long work. Do not play it for a boy as a license to ignore every correction.

The eight

  1. Industry

    7/10

Phrasing this calm is a craft learned over decades.

  2. Household

    4/10

A life reviewed alone. The people in it are a chorus, not partners.

  3. Piety

    3/10

    The self is the altar.

  4. Courage

    6/10

He faced the crowd. He will say so.

  5. Republic

    4/10

A man accounting for himself, and only to himself.

  6. Temperance

    5/10

No spree. A last glass, held still.

  7. Truth

    5/10

He tells his version. He is not interested in the other one.

  8. Stewardship

    5/10

A way to end. Dangerous if a young man takes it as a plan.

Live historicallyIf you put it on, follow it with one story of a time the house was glad somebody did not get 'their way.'
