Jurassic World

Spectacle in place of the lesson the first film already gave. The animal is not the villain.

The first Jurassic Park was about people who would not leave a power alone. Jurassic World opens the gift shop. The courage of going back for a child is the part the standard will count. The hybrid, the crowd, the joke about the asset — that is a film spending an animal as a ride. You can enjoy a chase and still refuse the lesson that life is a product line.

Older children who already know dinosaurs will want it. Watch with them and say the plain thing: they made a creature they did not intend to care for. That is the failure, not the creature.

The eight

  1. Industry

    4/10

Handlers and scientists do a job. The job is a mistake they were paid to make.

  2. Household

    4/10

An aunt and two boys. The children are there so the chase has a reason to pause.

  3. Piety

    2/10

A living thing is a product. That is the opposite of reverence.

  4. Courage

    5/10

People go back into the park for the children. That part is real.

  5. Republic

    3/10

A corporation owns the wonder and sells tickets to it.

  6. Temperance

    3/10

Bigger, louder, again. Appetite for the next hybrid is the plot of the park and of the film.

  7. Truth

    4/10

It knows the breeding was wrong. It still wants you to cheer the teeth.

  8. Stewardship

    2/10

Stewardship of a creature is the test, and the park fails it on purpose.

Live historicallyName one living thing the house is responsible for. Do its care before you put on anything about a monster.

Descendants 2

A sequel about not performing goodness. Still a mascot itself.

Mal flees Auradon because love there requires a makeover. That instinct is fair. The film resolves it with a bigger makeover and a pirate boyfriend and a swordfight among the children of trademarks. The island's injustice — children punished for their parents — remains the only serious idea, and it remains unused except as a set.

If the first is already in the house, this adds little. Watch it only if you will actually talk about whether the 'good' place was asking for a costume. If not, skip. You will not miss a moral you did not already hear.

    5/10

She tells the truth that she was faking the princess.
