A scare for children, played as a joke. Thin, and not the one to start with.
A mechanical Halloween picture. Children will laugh at the slime and forget it, which is the best and worst thing about it. It does not hate the family. It does not have any use for the family either. There are better mild scares and better Octobers.
If it is already on, sit with them and name what is pretend. Do not go looking for it.
