Messenger

A message to a known person is fine. The app is a side door into Facebook. Prefer a messenger that is not attached to the feed.

Would you still put it on?

Facebook's letter box. The people may be real. The app still wants the feed nearby.

What it really is

Messenger is how a lot of families already talk, and this desk will not pretend a grandmother's thread is a vice. It is also how Facebook keeps a teen one tap from the feed, and how a stranger arrives under a name that looks familiar.

If the family already lives there, set the list and stop. No new people whose parents you cannot call. If you are choosing fresh, pick a messenger that does not lead back to a public feed.

Live historically

Lock the list to people the house can name. Turn off message requests.

The eight

  1. Industry

    4/10

Carrying a sentence is useful. The app adds little craft.

  2. Household

    5/10

Family can reach family, if the list is actually the family.

  3. Piety

    4/10

No creed. The rooms are whatever the members bring.

  4. Courage

    4/10

A direct message is braver than a post, and easier to hide.

  5. Republic

    4/10

A small thread can be a real group. The suggestions are not.

  6. Temperance

    3/10

Stories and notes keep the thumb moving after the letter is read.

  7. Truth

    5/10

The words are theirs. The account they require may not be one you wanted.

  8. Stewardship

    4/10

A thread of care is a good record. A thread of strangers is not.
