Ferris Bueller's Day Off

The day is a delight and a fraud. Laugh, and do not take his side against his sister.

Ferris is loved because he is free, and he is free because other people eat the consequence. The sister is the one telling the truth. Cameron is the one who will pay for the car, and the film finally notices Cameron, which is its best minute. The parade is joy. Joy that requires a lie about where you are is still a lie. A city is not your playground just because you are witty.

Watch it for the museum and the friendship that costs Cameron something. Then say the unfashionable line. He should have been in school. The people who cover for him are not extras.
